Admission Policies
Undergraduate and graduate programs in the School are structured to be consistent with the School’s mission. The School offers bachelor, master and Ph.D. programs for students aspiring to be leaders in various fields of business. The School is committed to ensuring that students understand the critical connection between managerial and technological innovation in the real world. It also strives to produce leaders in management with a strong theoretical background as well as practical experience, abilities to add value to the organizations they are employed in and society as a whole. The emphasis is on excellence in education and research, cultivating the positive attitudes of students directed at social development.
The goal of the School’s admission policies is to promote the idea of converting talented students into valuable assets of society through recruitment and retention of highly competent candidates. The admission process itself is managed separately albeit the admission policies are set and administered by the Admissions Office of CNU. This kind of decentralization allows the School to select students whose strengths and interests best suit the School’s educational objectives.
Students admitted to the School are known to be highly motivated and readily able to grasp core concepts in business and social sciences. The School's admission policies support its vision and mission. To this end, the School actively recruits top-notch graduates from an extensive pool of high school graduates in the south-western parts of Korea. After enrolling in one of the School’s programs, students are provided every opportunity to maximize their learning potential and successfully complete their course of study.

Undergraduate Admission Policies
The School seeks students who are capable of doing rigorous analysis and integrative thinking. Students in the School are trained to become generalists with comprehensive knowledge and skills in management and accounting. Competent high school graduates in pursuit of basic knowledge in management and with the potential for creative problem solving are sought out by the School and selected through a two-step process. First, candidates are screened based on their cumulative high school grades. Second, a shortlist of candidates is further screened using their scores on the national scholastic achievement test, which is taken by all Korean high school students in November of their final year of studies. The selection of students is made through year-round rolling and regular admission, providing students with increased options and opportunities, and enabling the School to attract good students.
Some students may be admitted to the School through separate admission procedures if they qualify as rural high school graduates, vocational high school graduates, or disabled students. Foreign students are exempt from the uniform national scholastic achievement test. They are admitted to the School based on their Korean proficiency and interview scores in addition to the completion of normally 12 years of education, which is equivalent to the K-12 system in Korea. They may verify their Korean language proficiency in one of two ways. They may achieve a passing score from the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or take a minimum of 600 hours of Korean language courses at CNU’s Language Education Center.
