School of Polymer Science and Engineering
CNU’s School of Polymer Science and Engineering is aiming to lead polymer engineering research and education in new directions to overcome the current technological limitations, by solving significant problems utilizing/developing organic materials. We offer two undergraduate programs: Polymer Engineering and Textile Engineering.
Polymer Engineering has been one of the major disciplines in the fields of textile and petrochemical industries, which plays a major role leading the domestic economy. Moreover recently polymer research has become a leading element in cutting-edge new material development and nanotechnologies. For example, development of new functional polymers is expected to enable revolutionary advances in electronics, energy devices, and biomedical systems.
Our curriculum provides not only fundamental polymer engineering courses including ABEEK certified program but also advances in physics, chemistry, biology and computation into new tools for polymer engineering. In addition, we offer the opportunities for students to participate in various researches integrating synthesis, characterization, processing, and analysis of polymeric systems. Our education is also emphasizing on training students to have skills in designing and managing problems with creative and interdisciplinary approaches.
