Educational Objectives
Students will learn about the discovery of X-rays, the physical properties of radiation and its interaction with matter, and X-ray generation and control devices. They will learn about the sources and quantities of natural radiation and its effects on living organisms. They will study methods for obtaining high-quality radiographs and related matters to ensure that the images accurately depict various anatomical structures and pathological conditions invisible to the naked eye. They will understand the principles of special imaging techniques and the characteristics of the images. They will acquire basic radiographic interpretation methods and study the radiographic images of normal anatomical structures in the maxillofacial region. Finally, they will understand diseases occurring in the oral and maxillofacial region and develop the diagnostic ability to interpret radiographs.
